Addicted to Europe (Part 2 - Reunion)

On the last post I said that I was going to Netherlands for crazy 2 weeks short short break, this trip is not so touristy like my usual trip. On the first week I traveled around NL to visit friends and family, those who are dear to my heart. I arrived on 05.59 in Schiphol, and took the train directly to Amsterdam Zuid, where my friend lives.

I arrived on Sunday, the weather was quite nice, a bit chilly because it was windy. After I dropped my bag, we went to Amsterdam and do the "Rondvaart", I'll tell you about the details on the next post

Monday evening, I went to my mammie cendol house, and after dinner we went to see my Opa.

Tuesday night, I met up with my cousin who coincidentally on vacation in Netherlands. She lives in Naples (I went there on 2012 :D)

Wednesday, I went to see my best friend Dani who used to live in Culemborg (where the witch lives), and then I had dinner with my friend

Opa Herman (Bom) in Zaandam
Tias & Pandu in Amsterdam

Thursday, I went to Breda, the city I used to live in. I'm really in love with this city. On Hemelvaart weekend (The ascension day) they have a jazz festival. I didn't do a lot here, just meet some friends, make a nice meal for them.

Friday, before I went to Den Haag and meet mijn schatje (Ebhie). I did a nostalgic walk around the city center, to the place where I used to hangout at (Studio Dependance, where you can dance all night, they also have live music on Tuesday night).

Saturday, we spent our day walking around the city center, trying to do some shopping with limited budget (we end up buying nothing significant, spent most of our money on food). But there's an interesting view in V&D, they had a talent show on their window display area (where the mannequins usually are)

Sunday, last day in Den Haag. Of course I wouldn't forget to visit Redeemer International Church, where I found the true love. Just like the other day, we spent the day walking around, we had pizza for breakfast and KFC for lunch before I went back to Amsterdam.

Summer Trip (Part V - Rome)

After spending a wonderful 2 pampered days in Naples, we continue our journey to Rome. There's a saying "Many roads lead to Rome". Yeah, never occur in my mind that I finally step my feet in Rome, the land of love, capital city of Italy, one of the oldest city in Europe. We take an early train from Napoli, we booked the ticket early and pay 9 euro for it. Giovanni called a taxi for us, to bring us to the train station. We paid 10 euro for the cab fare. It took only an hour and 10 minutes to get to Rome. Day 7 - When in Rome We arrived in Rome at 07.50, the sun is still sleeping, the wind blows the coldness of morning. We dragged our suitcase to our one last stop before we continue to explore other country (or going back to, for Mariella). We stayed in  GardenRome hostel (18.50euro/night/person). I had a 5 bed female dorm, with ensuite bathroom. Gardenrome hostel is an apartment that transformed into hostel. There are 3 rooms in this hostel, 4 bed dorm and 5 bed dorm, t...

Summer Trip (Final Part - Prague I'm in Love)

Prague, the capital and largest city of Czech Republic. It's also the historical capital of Bohemian proper . Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.3 million people, while its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of nearly 2 million. The city has a temperate oceanic climate, with warm summers and chilly winters. Not much people know about Prague, that's why they questioned me why I would go to Prague all by myself, well after this post I'm sure you will love Prague as much as I do. Day 16 - Finally Prague After a sleepless night at Milan Airport, and a morning flight to Prague. I finally arrived in Prague, one of my favorite city in Europe.    Oh yeah, you don't have to change the currency (EUR to CZK) at the airport, you can just use the ATM, and take money from there (It's cheaper considering the fee they asked in airport). But since I didn't know it before I get a pretty good rate at Milan...
